GDIT is seeking a Systems Engineer to support Department of Energy (DOE) legacy systems. The Systems Engineer will analyze the organization’s current systems architecture and design/document recommended efficiencies.
Provides analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, human-machine interfaces and all system level requirements to provide an integrated IT solution.
Develops integrated system test requirement, strategies, devices and systems.
Directs overall system level testing.
15 years of relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or post graduate degree from an accredited university in a related field may substitute for 6 years of experience.
Strong knowledge of enterprise systems and processes to include desktop support, peripheral support, software support/interoperability, Windows and Linux-based systems and applications, network protocols, network and systems security, networking and connectivity, telecommunications, storage and backup, and email services
Knowledge of VMWARE or Hyper-V virtualization administration
Experience with MS DNS and Unix BIND
Prior Experience with DOE
Experience with DISA STIGs
