We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated IT Lead Technical Engineer/Chief Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT systems and infrastructure, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. The IT Lead Technical Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers, as well as providing technical support to the company's IT systems.

As an IT Lead Technical Engineer/Chief Architect, you will be leading the technical team on an EHR modernization program, which includes EHR implementation in a Fed Ramp High cloud environment, data management including migration and analytics, integration/interoperability using standards (Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel [HITSP]), cybersecurity management, health information management compliance, and providing mission critical support to our customer. In this role, a typical day will include: 
  • Provide leadership for managing and supervising a team of IT professionals, including software developers, network administrators, cybersecurity experts, and other support staff, to ensure that all projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Designs technology architecture to align with enterprise standards, processes, procedures, and targets.
  • Understand system's technical architecture, develop architecture roadmaps and technical diagrams. Responsible for developing and implementing IT strategies that support the overall goals and objectives of the organization
  • Makes technology choices, supervises the quality and implementation of designs, developing high performance architects within the customer. Leads software technology architects to solve complex problems and resolve technological disagreements with informed solutions.
  • Designs software architecture policies and guidelines to manage and guide members of the department being supported.  May supervise others.
  • Provide overall leadership for the senior technical team including areas of cloud infrastructure, interoperability, data management, cybersecurity, testing, and other technical aspects of an EHR implementation.
  • Responsible for understanding and design of cloud based technical architecture of the EHR ecosystem and providing advice on technical subjects to the federal client on viable technology stacks.
  • Provide leadership to design, develop, integrate, and sustain (operations) support for clinical systems, data and associated interfaces in pre- and post-deployment phases.
  • Ensures that all IT projects and operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including data privacy and security regulations.
  • Analyze, study, develop, and present complex system requirements and architecture. Manage system implementation and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Senior Engineer/architect for large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Experience leading technical teams in interoperability and data management.
  • Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work at the Enterprise level, working and coordinating efforts across numerous resources, sub-contractors and stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and simply.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
 PREFERRED: 
  • Experience with Cerner Electronic Health Records systems desired
  • Previous experience working on large Federal healthcare projects is highly desired.
  • Experience working with large complex integrated delivery network deployment of an EHR is desired.
  • Experience in Cloud based architecture and cybersecurity ATO process desired.
  • US Citizenship or Green Card is required, and the successful candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Strong experience with MS Office suite of products.

SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL: 
  • Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.  / Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $126,720 - $190,080, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
