Come join GDIT team working with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Enterprise Service Desk Contract seeking a strong IT Support Specialist for our DLA ESD program.

Supports Tier 2.5 IT issues by troubleshooting, providing root cause analysis, and resolving Windows based IT issues in support of our customer. Utilizes customer ticket system in tracking incidents, work orders and projects related tickets aligned to ITIL best practices. Functions may include diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer reported incidents, planning and analysis of work processes, researching and reporting trends and patterns of problems, developing training materials and performing computing/information system training sessions, developing and maintaining problem tracking databases, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software, performing backup and recovery operations, consulting with users to identify needs and requirements, conducting feasibility studies and trade-off analyses, preparing business cases, and ensuring the rigorous application of information security/Cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices. Maintains end user system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, and networks; maintains procedural and process documentation.

The candidate should be able to:

· Work within a team environment, troubleshoot, identify root cause analysis and resolve IT issues for Tier 2.5 within a Windows based IT environment.

· Demonstrated experience with Active Directory/Exchange/Email to include but not limited to configuring distribution group ownership, create, update and modify distribution lists, provide assistance in Active Directory accounts and security groups as needed

· Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM, patch management processes, troubleshooting hardware and software end user issues;

· Familiarity with Windows Administration including file, folder, and driver permissions (troubleshooting management)

· Experience using ticketing systems such as Remedy; Ability to handle IT incidents and work orders;

· Troubleshoot and resolve IT end user issues at a Tier 2.5 level to include laptops and thin clients

Responsibilities:

· Troubleshoot, resolve errors and IT Enterprise-level issues for end users in a Windows based operational environment

· Provide support to Windows Administrator functions including troubleshooting and resolution, application support and software delivery

· Provide technical support and assistance to laptop and thin client imaging

· Utilize customer-ticketing system to work, update and resolve incident and work order tickets aligned to contract Service Level Agreements, policies and procedures.

· Assist in transition to new operating environments and software upgrades as needed

Qualifications:

· Six (6) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing

· Three (3) years of which are specialized in Information Processing and involve a range of hardware/software solutions,

· Two (2) years of which are concentrated, hands-on experience in installing, diagnosing problems, and training customers in the use of software and hardware.

· Demonstrated experience with Windows Administration, Operating Systems and applications

· Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner

· Upon start of employment on contract, must meet DOD 8570 IA Baseline requirement by having at a minimum Security+ CE or equivalent (DoD 8570 IA Level: IAT II); May start if currently hold an active MCSA Server 2012 or 2016 certification. If candidate does not currently hold an active MCSA Server 2012 or 2016 certification, candidate must be able to obtain at a minimum 30 days after starting in the position, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate Certification

· Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance; May start with an interim Secret Level Clearance
