Background

This is a position for an intelligence collection manager supporting a national DoD customer. This position will provide collection management (CM) subject matter expertise through consultation and development of CM-related products. 

This position’s work is expected to focus, but not be solely limited to, developing content for a CM Advanced Course or Seminar, providing introductory knowledge, skills, best practices, and lessons learned valuable for personnel new to leading CM organizations, such as new GG-14 personnel (or equivalent).  This position will work under the guidance of the GDIT PM, in support of client leadership who work as the customer and SMEs.  The position will also work in coordination with Academy for Defense Intelligence (ADI) instructional systems designers. 

The position will provide intelligence collection management (CM) subject matter expertise (SME) to support:

  • Primary focus will be on developing course content for a CM Advanced Course or Seminar for new leaders of CM organizations (~new GG-14 CM leaders)
    Other categories of work may include:
  • Develop content for DoD CM training courses, both traditional classroom and online (CBT and instructor-led);
  • Research, development, and documentation of Department of Defense (DoD) CM Tradecraft
  • Design, development, and operation of the DoD’s CM professional certification program, the Certified CM Professional (CCMP) program.  Includes supporting obtaining and maintain the program’s accreditation through the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA); development of and coordination of certification standards with Defense CM Enterprise (DCME) SMEs; development and operation of the CCMP Fundamental (CCMP-F) certification exam (e.g., writing exam questions under the guidance of an exam developer);
  • Development of CM professionalization (e.g., job analyses, competency models, position descriptions, career paths, career path guide, career learning plan) for employed collection managers

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI eligible; able to pass polygraph
  • 5+ years operational experience as a collection manager
  • Expert knowledge of DoD processes and terminology
  • Expert Microsoft Office skills

Additional Desired Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience or certification as an instructional systems designer (ISD, also known as curriculum developer)
  • Multi-INT collection requirements and/or strategies

Work Environment: This position is for small (7 person) team working Washington, D.C.
