At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Full Stack Software Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to understand the technical and functional design requirements related to Ruby on Rails. In this role, a typical day will include: Designing and developing test mission software applications in a SAFE Agile and cloud based environment (AWS). Will utilize multiple languages and technologies to develop mission software applications, so you will utilize your expertise with both frontend and backend software development.


  • Experience with Ruby on Rails is prefered, but will consider expertise with other technologies and languages; JavaScript, CSS, HTML; Frontend design framework: Bootstrap; Frontend JavaScript frameworks: Backend, Java, Python, Angular or Vanilla JS; Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.); Database server: MySQL, some legacy Oracle;
  • Experience working with web technologies, database management (MySQL) and developing fulltext search applications (Elasticsearch) is preferred.
  • Experience with RESTful Web Services and Open Source utilities to support high performance capabilities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes and experience with designing, developing and testing mission applications is preferred.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Business is preferred (or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training and work experience).
  • Minimum of 11 years related experience is preferred
  • Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph is required.
