Overview 

ARMA-Global is currently pursuing qualified candidates in support of a USSOCOM Specialty Services contract.  USSOCOM has a requirement to provide enterprise-wide information technology service and distribution to USSOCOM and all of its respective components and Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) through a more modern, flexible, scalable, performance-based service management and delivery framework known as Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contracts (SITEC).

Systems Administrator - Intermediate

Responsibilities  

As a fully competent specialist, establishes complex operational databases, software configuration control and system interfaces for computer systems assigned. Maintains file servers, network access; documents, analyzes and troubleshoots system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance. Prepares system for operational use and support operational tests. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • MCTS or equivalent certification required 

  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred 

  • Competent to work at a high technical level on all phases of information systems operations 

  • Good communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through 

  • Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience  

  • Must be able to effectively conduct and interpret tests, and troubleshoot solutions of moderately complex operational problems 

  • Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work 

  • May review the work of others and be able to detect errors or needed modifications 

 

Security Requirements 

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance 

 

Physical Demands 

  • Lift over 35 LBS 

  • Pass DoD’s medical requirements if position is OCONUS 

 

 Work Environment 

  • Work environment is either administrative office or combat zone  

 

Education Requirements 

  • BA/BS or equivalent + 2-4 yrs. experience as a Systems Administrator 

 



DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience

This position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 8, 2021 or the start date, if after December 8.
