The DevOps Engineer should possess proficient communication skills to lead and implement various concepts like scalability, automation, and security and compliance monitoring across enterprise cloud environments hosted within AWS or Microsoft Azure. You need to have technical proficiencies and familiarity in DevOps culture with a keen interest in cybersecurity and up-to-date knowledge of automation and trends.
You should be experienced in at least one of the programming or scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, or Perl so as to collaborate competently with other teams within the organization regarding cloud automation. The DevOps Engineer must possess knowledge of microservices such as AWS EKS, Docker, or Kubernetes, and experience using CI/CD tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Maven, Bitbucket, Git, AWS CodeCommit, and/or AWS CloudFormation.
Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical expertise on cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies of high complexity.
Research, evaluate, and deploy advanced cloud computing systems and large data analytics.
Assists customers with data integration and migration efforts, including mapping schemas and defining domain specific ontologies
Develop large data technologies, algorithms, and applications.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced cloud development personnel.
May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS plus 10 years relevant experience, or MA/MS plus 8 years relevant experience
The likely salary range for this position is $112,000 - $168,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
