And our work depends on a Doctrinal Training Team (DTT) SME -Intelligence joining our team to support Army Reserve National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) activities at various locations (MTC Atterbury, IN; MTC Chaffee, AR; MTC Dodge, IA; MTC Fort Indiantown Gap, PA; MTC Gowen, ID; and MTC Leavenworth, KS).

As a DTT SME supporting ARNG MCTSP you will be trusted to serve as a full time, highly qualified senior Intelligence Lead SME responsible for collective training for Mission Training Complex to include the development of orders, scenarios, script writing, and exercise for MTC driven collective events. Provides mission command training and simulation exercises focused on the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) for staffs at the battalion level and above, a typical day will include:

  • Acts as an advisor, mentor, and SME for Brigade and Below Units during the JELC process through execution to include After Action Review (AAR) of MTC collective events.
  • Research and compile data and inputs from multiple sources, to develop and replicate the desired operating environment to achieve Commanders’ training.
  • SME in the area of military Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC-G) training methods and procedures to include Simulations and Stimulations and other Mission Command Training enablers.
  • Plans, coordinates, prepares, and conducts doctrinally current battle CPXs, Integrated STAFFEXs, Section STAFFEXs, Digital COMMEXs, and MDMP workshops, and other associated events.
  • Coaches, teaches, and mentors units during the conduct of JELC to assist the commander in achieving their training objectives. Provides on-site feedback to unit Commanders and appropriate staff members in the form of informal discussions.
  • Prepares a Final Exercise Report (FER) that addresses the planning, preparation and execution of each DTT rotation.
  • Ensure that Government and contract guidelines, regulations, policies and standards are compiled to safeguard personnel and GFE/F.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MS/MA, subject immaterial
  • 12 years of experience
  • Army or ARNG leadership experience in UTM and preferably, Combat Training Center experience.
  • MEL 4 or equivalent DoD Schooling; battalion command (or similar experience)
  • Army or ARNG leadership experience in UTM and preferably, Combat Training Center experience.
  • 5yrs experience utilizing the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) in event/exercise planning
  • 2yrs working with Intelligence Mission Command Systems
  • Experienced in utilizing Combined Arms Training Strategies (CATS) to plan and resource training
  • 6yrs’ combined staff experience within the Intelligence Warfighting Function or 8yrs of specialized Intel experience ISO Mission Command Training.
  • Knowledgeable in Army information systems to training MC principles
  • Proficient with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and others)
  • Travel: 50%
  • Security clearance level
