GDIT is seeking a Supply Clerk to support its BETSS-C program's Logistics Support Center (LSC). Under general supervision of the logistic lead candidate will use established process and procedures to perform a wide variety of tasks related to shipping receiving, packaging, material movement, inventory control and storage, and material kitting. Duties will include, coordinate and report status of tasks in assigned areas and check own work for correctness, load and unload shipments from carrier trucks, process incoming material by verifying material against receiving documents noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, investigate receiving inconsistences and/or discrepancies and entering data into automated system for non-receivable material, work to resolve non-receivable material issues with procurement organization, verify material requirements and expedite flow of material to meet daily production needs, accurately input data into the asset management system and route material into a controlled storage areas, store, stack or palletize material in accordance with prescribed storage methods, issue material from controlled storage areas to meet production floor demands, generate shipping requests, box, palletize or crate material for shipment, arrange transportation and trace shipments to destination, and other duties as assigned.
The team receives, inventories and signs for incoming shipments delivered via commercial entities such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc., and government entities using the Catalog Ordering Logistic Tracking System (COLTS).
Applicable logistics and/or transportation experience related to military or Government contract work
Ability to work under limited supervision with strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to multi task, prioritize work, and be adaptive to change
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
Familiar with OSHA Health & Safety standards and regulations
Experience with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Must be fork lift certified or able to pass a certification test for the operation of a forklift
Experience with material control or freight management database systems
Able to operate manual material handling equipment, pallet jack, push carts, etc.
Must be able to withstand physical demands of a warehouse environment: seasonal hot/cold temperatures, bending, squatting, lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds, and standing for long periods of time
Associate Level H.S. Diploma and 6+years of experience, AA/AS + 4 years' experience
Experience with the COLTS or Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-Army)
Knowledge of RAID Tower system hardware and components
Import/Export (EXIM) compliance experience
Experience configuring military 463L pallets for MILAIR shipments, aircraft load team member
HAZMAT Dangerous Goods IATA and DOT certification
Flight line and air cargo loading and palletization experience
Familiarity with DOD logistics practices and forms, DD250, DD1348, DD1149, etc.
