General Dynamics Information Technology (IT) has partnered with NASA to consolidate select Procurement, Finance, Human Resources (HR), and Information Technology activities from the 10 NASA Centers into a single shared services center located at Stennis Space Center in southern Mississippi.

The mission of the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) is to provide timely, accurate, high-quality, cost-effective, and customer-focused support for select NASA business and technical services.

General Dynamics IT has an opportunity on the NSSC contract for an HR Business Analyst to contribute to our organization’s success in providing HR services to NASA. This will be a full-time position, located onsite at NASA Stennis Space Center, Mississippi.

The HR Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between several organizations to include Intelligent Automation Services (IAS), Information Technology (IT), Program Management (PMO) and HR to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver recommendations to improve the overall delivery of services within HR for GDIT. 

The HR Business Analyst responsibilities are:

  • Gather and analyze HR processes and data for potential HR automation and optimization opportunities.
  • Identify, support and facilitate specific HR needs within the ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD) migration and optimization effort.
  • Influence NSSC and external stakeholders to support GDIT HR automation and process improvement projects.
  • Assist with project management for selected projects.
  • Coordinate with different departmental teams (HR, IAS, IT, PMO) to produce optimized business outcomes.
  • Support testing, documenting and training of optimized HR processes and recommend improvements identified within those processes.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma and some college coursework is required.
  • 8 or more years of work experience required.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma or business process automation.
  • Excellent communication, grammar and writing skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills dealing with all levels of personnel, including senior level management and functional subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Experience and knowledge of PC-based computers and software using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow Case Management required.
