We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team to support the Office of the Director (OD) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) at Bethesda, MD. As a Project Manager, you will manage IT infrastructure projects across a range of technologies and teams. As a key participant within the PMO team, you will leverage ITIL and PMBOK processes to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control projects to closure.
Our team provides smart and effective solutions backed by efficient team-built system architectures, as well as team-documented and tested proesses and procedures. On this program we provide support for 2,700 end-customers residing in approximately 20 buildings. Our team focuses on maintaining excellent customer experience as it relates to service requests and maintain and improve interoperability between IT infrastructure systems.

The NIH Director provides overall leadership to NIH activities in both scientific and administrative matters. In this role, a typical day will include:
Manage and ensure the timely completion of specific technical projects and efforts from initiation through delivery following organizationally tailored EPLC process.
Develop Project Management Plans and all other project documentation in accordance with PMBOK best practices as they align with the EPLC process.
Work in a functional environment with an interdisciplinary team to complete project efforts related mostly to IT infrastructure.
Coordinate, manage and deliver software/hardware inventory reports and analysis.
Receive, plan and manage various ad hoc requests from the client on an as-needed basis.
Support engagement and outreach activities for client, interacting with senior-level government, and academic stakeholders to build and strengthen relationships in support of the mission.
Develop and execute strategic communications plans.
Assist the CRM team with customer outreach, data analytics, and customer support.
Assist with Data Calls / Data Collection
Develop, schedule and provide training to customers for newly implemented technologies.
Serve as program manager’s back-up
Required Qualifications and Experience:
BS/BA or equivalent and five years related experience or a MS and three years related experience
Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project planning/scheduling tool
Experience managing cross-functional IT infrastructure projects
ITIL v3 Foundations certificate (or ability to obtain within first six months of hire)
Familiarity with IT operations and Desktop Support
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Prior experience or working knowledge of EPLC
Familiarity with application and software development
Experience with following tools: ServiceNow, O365 suite, Visio and SharePoint
Experience working at NIH or other Federal Agencies
