GDIT has an opportunity for a growth-oriented and execution-focused Sr. Program Director to join our team leading the Financial Agencies Business Area within the Federal Civilian Division.  


The Financial Agencies Business Area supports a variety of Federal Financial Agencies’ IT programs focused on delivering full-service enterprise infrastructure, digital modernization, shared services, cloud enablement, applications development, and management consulting. 


The Financial Agencies Business Area Sr. Director will have full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility to win new business and to deliver existing work.  The position will oversee a portfolio worth over $75M/year and will report as one of the key operating business areas to the GDIT Sector Vice President and General Manager.


Success will be measured against specific revenue, operating income, and contracts award metrics consistent with a growing enterprise, as well as business relationships internally and externally, and leadership impact with our teams and our clients.


Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leading the portfolio and setting the strategic and operating plan for the Financial Agencies Business Area;
  • Performing financial management with profit and loss responsibility for the portfolio, with the responsibility to meet or exceed financial targets;
  • Providing customer and technical oversight of the portfolio, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and superior service delivery;
  • Driving growth – in collaboration with the Sector and Division resources; delivering a strong book-to-bill, re-compete wins, and YoY new business growth;
  • Ensuring alignment with Sector, Division and Company strategy and objectives;
  • Managing and optimizing an effective and efficient team focused on high quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development;
  • Developing a short- and long-term growth strategy with related tactical execution plans that will drive top line and bottom-line growth for the team;
  • Building and managing an effective and efficient team focused on high quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development;
  • Engaging the leverage services arm of the company to bring our capabilities in cloud, infrastructure, applications development, AI/ML and related services to existing and potentially new clients; and
  • Reinforcing the GDIT culture through accountability, curiosity and learning, results and impact, and positive energy.


Qualifications In order to be considered:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain SEC Position of Trust (PT).
  • 10 years progressive experience in managing/leading IT and professional services program portfolio; experience leading full P&L responsibilities for a portfolio of programs of $40M/yr + with positive net margin performance
  • Established hands-on experience managing programs of significance – both execution and financial focus.
  • Demonstrated experience building strong customer relationships specifically in multiple Federal and Civilian agencies, and driving business growth
  • Proficiency in building a business strategy that drives growth and execution
  • Leadership qualities that translate into business outcomes – specifically around team building and cohesion, client relationship development, and strategic thinking around enterprise business matters
  • Demonstrated experience and success mounting new business capture campaigns, and hands-on engagement in developing capture strategy and proposal development.  
  • Demonstrated experience leading business and technical briefings for senior and executive management and for external customer executives.
  • Ability and flexibility for travel local and within the U.S.
  • Outstanding communication capabilities, both verbal and written.  Must have the ability to present in front of audiences of any size..

  • The successful candidate will draw on their experience in technical project management, PMP certification would be preferred.
