GDIT is seeking a people-oriented problem solver to provide specialized support for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  For more than 10 years, GDIT has been a trusted partner at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Transportation and Air Quality (OTAQ).  We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Process Analyst to lead requirements and communication work in support of a development team that provides mission services in the area of transportation fuels.

The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that is responsible for implementing information technology solutions for complex data.  This individual must be able to read and understand technical and non-technical documents, interface with technical and non-technical personnel, and participate in the evaluation of system configuration and software.  They must work well in a small team environment, have excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and team building skills.

 

The Sr. Business Process Analyst will be expected to lead requirements gathering and specification efforts.  This effort will require coordination and communication with other analysts, developers, SMEs, the technical manager, scrum masters, the support team and the clients to clarify product-management level features and enablers and team-level development stories.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead communication with client on non-PM issues

  • Identify and analyze business needs

  • Conduct requirements gathering

    • Analyze data and develop observations and findings to aid in decision-making

    • Draft reports summarizing support line activity

    • Integrate feedback and revisions into requirements materials

  • Define scope and objectives

  • Partner with business process owners and management on strategic initiatives.

  • Document requirements and developed functionality

  • Coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals

 

 Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent and 4-6+ years of related experience (or Masters degree and 1-3+ years of related experience)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Have proven oral and written communication skills

  • Strong data and business analyst skills.

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Knowledge of agile and SAFe processes a plus

  • A self-starter who can manage their own work

  • Be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Comfortable working with end clients and provide customer support

The likely salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
