At the beginning of a new 10-year contract, GDIT is seeking a talented individual to guide the development, alignment, and implementation of Change and Configuration Management policies, processes, and procedures in accordance with program guidelines to fulfill the needs our program and customer.
Responsibilities include:
Establish change and configuration management plans incorporating and aligning with customer and corporate constraints.
Facilitate implementation of change and configuration management policies and processes.
Work with the engineering team to establish approved engineering baselines and version controls.
Identify, organize, and control configuration items (CI) throughout their lifecycle and establish a means for identifying and managing CI relationships.
Support the integration of change and configuration management with systems engineering processes.
Review existing processes and identify opportunities to improve control and accuracy of approved product baselines.
Implement Configuration Management audits to ensure CM processes are being followed, environments are kept in sync, configuration items are being built as required and supporting documentation is complete.
Establish CI attribute standards, and develop reporting to streamline and improve CM reporting, including documentation and knowledge artifact CIs required for substantiating SLA performance.
Align configuration item information with program performance measurements to organize and simplify performance management reporting.
Qualifications:
Full life-cycle experience (design through delivery and support), developing and improving CM standards, practices and procedures.
ITIL Intermediate certification in either Service Transition or Release, Control and Validation (RCV)
Experience contributing to and editing program and engineering policy, process, and procedure documentation.
