General Dynamics Information Technology  company (GDIT), is currently seeking a Business Analyst, Senior to join our mission critical team located at Huntsville, AL. GDIT provides a wide range of programmatic support services to assist the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) manage and execute numerous acquisition programs.  This position requires an analyst who can provide a wide range of analytical program management, acquisition, technical and administrative support. 

As the selected Business Process Analyst, Senior, you will be responsible for the following (not limited to):

  • The analyst works in a high visibility position supporting senior leadership as well as various other leaders and managers in Acquisition management within the Facilities and Deployments (FD) Directorate within MDA.
  • Specifically, the analyst will support the Deployments Integration Program Manager (FDD).
  • Requires a keen attention to detail in execution of all duties along with the competency in general management practices.
  • Analyst must possess extensive experience in working in large diverse organizations with the ability to organize, analyze, and present information in a succinct, coherent, and understandable manner.
  • Have an understanding of operations to be able to support the entire organization. 
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of Acquisition operations to include cost, schedule, performance and an understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) .
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Receive, review, and process staffing tasks through the electronic suspense tracking system (TMT).  It is necessary to be able to properly staff packages to and for senior leadership.
  • Outstanding communications skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
  • Have the ability to delegate tasks for appropriate action to other activities and track successful closure.  Many of these packages are for senior leadership and appropriate care must be taken to ensure proper content and adherence to the established form are maintained at all times.
  • The analyst must be able to create and build briefings when required as well as review others to make sure they are in proper format and meet briefing requirements.  Additionally, the analyst must be able to support Weekly Activity (type) Reports (WAR) requirements with strong writing and analytical skills to understand the content of what is being documented.
  • Must be able to quickly grasp new concepts and projects and be able to assist in getting projects up and running in the designated timeframe.
  • Attend a wide range of meetings as the organization's representative and provide input and feedback as required.
  • Analyst must be able to collect, analyze, and portray data in an understandable manner and provide it in status update briefings and other official reports.
  • Support and assist other GDIT personnel located within the organization.
  • Must be able to work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Interacts frequently with internal and external management and senior-level customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements and/or contractual clarifications.

In order to be considered for the Business Process Analyst, Senior opportunity with us, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • BA or equivalent +12 years related experience, or MA with appropriate related experience.
  • Must possess demonstrated Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced working knowledge and utilization of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint for the wide variety of products to be routinely generated.
  • Must possess and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • A strong writing background is also needed to support both acquisition operations and office operations.
