Job Description

GDIT has great opportunities for Customer IT and Integration Support Leads in Germany and South Korea supporting a major Department of Defense (DoD) customer with global operations.  Ideal candidates have technical/engineering management backgrounds and experience providing technical/installation support services across OCONUS bases in their respective area of responsibility. You will be working in a rewarding, mission focused environment, leading a team providing IT and Integration support across OCONUS facilities. You will lead/manage new and existing site support, including site surveys, equipment logistics, information assurance, installation support, confirming sites are operational and conducting training for site personnel. Other support activities include customer, database management, testing, and systems management support.  This position requires some travel.

You will join a group within the Defense Division, which is responsible for providing IT services and delivering enterprise IT and infrastructure solutions across the DoD.  You will have the opportunity to not only contribute technical and leadership expertise on this program, but to lead teams to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced environment.  You will apply industry best practices and make recommendations on automation tools and capabilities to create efficiencies and reduce overall labor costs. Strong communication, leadership skills, and knowledge of installation IT functions and responsibilities are required along with the ability to interface with other teams in program execution.  Leading the program Installation team, you will specifically

  • Oversee all operations and lead a multi-functional team to provide on-site and remote support services to customers across one of the OCONUS regions—Europe or Asia. In this role, you will manage contract budget, team performance, and engage in regular customer communications, including briefings to customer program leadership.
  • Lead and manage customer site support including new site studies and system stand-ups; database management; network design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; new equipment and software installs; helpdesk operations; Information Assurance; and customer and end-user training
  • Provide database management, operations, and storage support, including analysis, design, and implementation to establish secure and uninterrupted data access
  • Monitor and manage progress of all problem tickets from initiation to resolution
  • Lead and manage testing initiatives for new/modified customer applications, with objective of limiting/avoiding risks to on-going operations


  • Clearance:  Minimum of a Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field  
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams that may be geographically separated.
  • Expertise in LAN/WAN configurations and protocols to include TCP/IP, PPTP, and VPN;
  • Ethernet topology and configuration requirements for firewalls
  • Knowledge of network connectivity for all end users
  • Expertise with server and workstation hardware platforms and associated peripherals
  • IAT Level II


  • PMP (or equivalent)
  • ITILv3/4 Foundation
  • CISM
  • Current Top Secret clearance [SSBI/T5]
