GDIT has partnered with NASA to consolidate select Procurement, Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology activities from the ten NASA Centers into a single shared services center located at Stennis Space Center in southern Mississippi.
The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) mission is to provide timely, accurate, high quality, cost-effective, and customer focused support for select NASA business and technical services.
GDIT has an opportunity at the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) for an HR Personnel Assistant to contribute to our success in providing support to NASA employees win multiple areas such as Training, In- processing, retirements and Personnel Actions Processing.
These will be a full-time position onsite at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi with some hybrid telecommuting options.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Provide comprehensive reporting to customers and management.
Ability to develop and document work flows processes.
Identify process improvements and enhancements.
Respond to customer inquiries.
Follow existing work instructions, desk guides and training materials in support of the activity to ensure requirements and customer expectations are met.
Maintain electronic training case files.
Qualified Candidates must have:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Bachelor's degree is preferred for some roles.
Four to eight years of human resources experience. Federal HR Experience is preferred for some roles.
Experience and knowledge of PC-based computers and software experience using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.
Possess excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional customer service focus, with a high level of responsiveness.
Ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and adjust priorities as needed.
