Web Developer

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Web Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to design, develop dynamic webpages and graphics, incorporating multiple platforms and web tools. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Working closely with communication, marketing, and graphics teams as well as instructional designers and instructors in the department; however, priorities will be managed by the sponsor project manager.
  • New website development.
  • Design and development of web based trainings utilizing, PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5 that are 508 compliant.
  • Website maintenance supporting customer websites.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience.
  • HTML5, Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), JavaScript (JS)
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Desired skills/experience:

  • Web developer with experience developing dynamic webpages, incorporating multiple platforms and web tools.
  • Knowledge of PHP, JQuery, XML/XSL
  • Knowledge of Apache Tomcat web servers and configuration.
  • Knowledge of SQL data bases.
  • Manage existing websites and web applications
  • Test, track, debug and resolve issues
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.

Ability and willingness to learn job related material and tasks.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task simultaneous ongoing assignments.
  • Demonstrated on the job experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
