The DBA shall perform Oracle and/or other Sponsor-selected database administration to include the following:

  • Design, develop, and maintain database tables and object stores and implement security access requirements.
  • Maintain and administer development databases and environment(s) configurations required to manage and develop Sponsor applications and services.
  • Deliver new versions of database software as required.
  • Monitor Sponsor database performance and investigate and resolve performance issues (e.g., script development for database cleanup, forecasting, monitoring).
  • Establish, document, and perform Data Recover Procedures as necessary.
  • Perform research and resolution of existing and potential issues associated with Sponsor system databases.
  • Review Batch Output, identify errors, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Participate in the review and design of issues related to architectural data and coordinate the resolution of those issues with data stewards and development teams.
  • Maintain and update data model diagrams, the data dictionary, and updates to and the distribution of the data model.
  • Participate in ensuring that new features (e.g., tables, procedures, static data) adhere to defined project standards and policies.
