  • Designs and develops instructional approaches and/or strategies to meet training requirements;
  • Conducts analysis of training requirements and media requirements;
  • Develops appropriate training objectives and test methods and designs instructionally valid training materials;
  • Conducts task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans;
  • Designs and develops instructor-led and virtual instructor led curriculum materials to include instructor guides, trainees guides, and teaching aids;
  • Designs and develops web-based training, and other technology-based learning solutions;
  • Develops flow diagrams and storyboards;
  • Designs instructionally sound lessons in a variety of delivery media;
  • Interacts with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content;
  • Develops instructionally sound assessment items to meet learning objectives
  • Conducts formative and summative evaluation procedures;
  • Develops detailed plans and reports;
  • May have supervisory responsibilities;
  • May serve as a technical team or task lead;
  • Participates in special projects as required.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience in instructional technology or education or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience

  • Advanced knowledge and direct experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced knowledge and direct experience in the use and application of Articulate Storyline.
  • Advanced knowledge and direct experience in applying the principles, methods, and techniques used in andragogy and instructional systems design.
  • Advanced knowledge and direct experience in the principles, methods, and techniques used in virtual synchronous and technology-based training.
  • Advanced knowledge and direct experience in applying Section 508 compliance criteria to wide array of curriculum materials.

The likely salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
