Join GDIT, an experienced leader in U-2 operations! We are pursuing this new opportunity and are in need of a Leader to supervise a team of IT specialists to support global U-2 operations to protect the US and its interests. Note these requirements are subject to change as the customer is still refining the tasks.

  • Shall provide analytical, advisory, technical expertise and analysis to U-2 MPC and 99 RS activities
  • Primarily responsible for installation, maintenance, upgrades, and security compliance of MPC information technology as well as to ensure up to 24/7/365 uninterrupted operations in support of global U-2 missions
  • Will support the Director for Software in the design, development, fielding, and modifications to future MPC systems/architectures
  • Will be engaged in all aspects of supporting and administering a mixed Windows and UNIX server and desktop environment, with a variety of different storage technologies/methodologies
  • Duties include: Setting up Program Work Environments (PWEs), integrating new capabilities into existing environments, refreshing hardware and software, troubleshooting complex problems, and ensuring up to 24/7/365 continuity of MPC information technology in support of on-going global U-2 operations
  • Will participate in leading critical Mission/Focus Area projects, fostering innovation and best practices, technical mentoring of Program Execution technical staff, and providing emergency technical support throughout the MPC and the 99 RS
  • Travel will not be required more than once annually

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in Computer Science (or a related technical field) or four years’ relevant work experience
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance with the eligibility for gaining access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • The certification in one of the following: Security+ CE (or higher), SSCP, or GSEC. Must be maintained throughout the contract Period of Performance for this TO
  • Experience in multi-disciplined Project Leadership, Management, or Project management in an IT domain

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • 10+ years experience
  • Valid, current CISSP certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M
  • Experience developing requirements for detailed system design in infrastructure technologies including server operating systems, server hardware, computer systems, enterprise-class storage, physical and virtual network components, VMware-based virtualization, and encryption
  • Thorough understanding and experience designing and supporting Protection Level 2 and beyond Information Systems with specific focus on required security controls and shared infrastructure capabilities
  • Strong understanding of Windows and UNIX/Unix operating systems, associated technologies, and interoperability
  • Experience with a variety of information architecture components such as Mobile Device Management (MDM), data warehousing, data quality, business intelligence, metadata management, content management, etc.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, and/or DB2 database preferred
  • Experience with Java/.Net programming
  • In-depth understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), Exchange, Lync, and Symantec NetBackup and Backup Exec

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • US Air Force ISR experience especially in regards to U2 operations, mission planning, and operation centers
  • Knowledge of DoD Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and/or High-Altitude ISR (HAISR) doctrine, systems, and processes
  • Significant professional experience in leadership
  • CI Poly
