GDIT is seeking a Microsoft Architect to join our software development team supporting the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) DARRTS program in Rockville, MD. This program has a mature AGILE practice providing full software development lifecycle support for a variety of highly complex business critical systems, including COTS and customized solutions. In this role, you will be part of a 20+ person software development team and focus on creating multiple capabilities around .NET for these existing SQL Server systems running on an Azure platform.
The FDA is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation. The FDA is also responsible for: advancing the public’s health by helping to speed innovations that make medicines and foods more effective, safer, and more affordable; helping the public acquire the accurate, science-based information they need to use medicines and foods to improve their health.
Create solution architecture documents that describe and explain solutions attributes and associated benefits and maintain documentation in collaboration with enterprise architects as well as others solution architects
Work closely with Technical Lead to architect solutions for Microsoft specific design and development at both infrastructure and application level.
Removing technical obstacles and barriers to successful delivery
Actively engage and participate technical discussion with engineers and customers.
Lead a team of developers to implement user stories
Perform hands-on development with C# and .NET
Required Skills and Experience:
10+ years of experience with solution architect experience for Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, Office 365 applications
10+ years of designing and developing .Net and C# applications
10+ years of hands-on web service development experience with REST and SOAP
Superb knowledge and exp on both on-prem and Azure related infrastructure set up and configuration
Ability to provide Expert-level consultancy to customers
Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical/business project team members
Impeccable oral and writing skills
Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
Desired Skills and Experience:
2+ years of Microsoft Graph development exp with MS Office 365
