At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Logistics Analyst, you will be trusted to work independently and deliver agile solutions. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Maintaining good communication with the team
  • This office is the support element for four offices within this group.  This office is fast paced and a dynamic mission
  • Contractor will be assigned to various offices within the Washington Metro Area supporting mainly the fleet management office, and the various logistical duties pertaining to preventative maintenance and scheduling of vehicles
  • Must be able to utilize appropriate databases such as the Sponsor’s asset tracking software to input applicable vehicle data
  • Must be able to ensure that vehicles are operable and provide recommendations to the logistics group on scheduled maintenance
  • Position will require high level of autonomy in typically transactional format with scheduling vehicles for maintenance
  • Expected to work independently and be able to shuttle government vehicles to/from places of services for a variety of vehicles.  Some vehicles will have sirens/lights and other law enforcement enhancements that are added after the vehicles are purchased
  • Communication will require both verbal and written as some transactions will need face-to-face interactions with various outside vendors.  There will be little briefing interactions or presentations on the specific program
  • Flexibility is given for the schedule and there should be no additional hours required
  • No requirements for amount of weight to lift
  • With minimal guidance, utilize Sponsor inventory database and monitor and update information into a preventative maintenance schedule. Will proactively coordinate maintenance related operations and aid with questions on routine/scheduled maintenance and fleet management of Sponsor’s current vehicle fleet.  Will ensure all vehicles are ready for daily operation (cleaned, fueled, and inspected)
  • High level of tracking and updating information to include monthly mileage reports and monitoring databases for service requests
  • On a routine basis, inspect vehicles for irregular wear and tear and record mileage within office tracking database.  Based on observations, suggest potential service and/or recommend increases/decreases in specific vehicle usage.  Must gain proper approvals before completing non-standard maintenance

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma
  • 4 years of experience
  • TS/SCI w/polygraph
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office including proficiency with Outlook, including Excel and Word at the basic level
  • Candidate should have prior knowledge of Sponsor procurement systems at an intermediate level; otherwise, training can be provided
  • Basic knowledge of fleet management
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s record
