Applications Developer

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Application Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to develop and test applications. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Full stack developer responsible for developing, testing, implementing and maintaining complex applications.
• Ability to change direction with changing requirements and architectural changes.
• Designing and building web applications.
• Developing securie RESTful services.
• Maintaining software applications, web applications and user interface.
• Developing UIs using modern JavaScript such as Angular.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
• Minimum of 8 years related experience.
• Technical Skills: Spring boot framework, Angular, RESTful services, Spring cloud
• Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
• Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience with an Agile environment, Demonstrated experience supporting development in sponsor’s environment and experience developing micro-services.

Provides guidance to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Analyze user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs.

Provides guidance in creating a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application.

Provides guidance to all phases of the software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging process to meet business needs.

Provides valued analysis on software project specifications, activities, or status.

Advises on the software or system process for optimal documentation and future maintenance and updates.

May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.

May serve as a mentor to less experienced analysts.

May serve as team or task lead. (Not a people manager)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience.
