Our work depends on Logistics Technician joining our team to support our government client’s activities in their locations.
At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Logistics Technician supports and manages the responsibilities of the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects. Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning, and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance, and/or repair activities.
Performs clerical and manual tasks to maintain an inventory of materials, parts, supplies and equipment
Receive, barcode, inventory and disposition assigned equipment
Update tracking/management database with asset information
Move equipment between facilities via pallet jack or push cart
Maintain consumable stock levels - complete equipment reorders as required
Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance and/or repair activities
Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times
Participates in special projects as required.
Requirements
AA/AS (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of related inventory management experience.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Hands-on logistics analyst and technician to be part of a team of logistics professionals focused on supporting the customer's mission at the largest site in the customer's enterprise
Ready for full days, fast pace, and a variety of skill sets used throughout the week
Perform the full spectrum of duties associated with shipping/receiving, inter-plant transfers, barcode assignments and database maintenance
Be to account for annual inventory of thousands of accountable items, working with security and government logistics managers for disposition
Assist other work centers to identify and satisfy their logistics requirements
Must be able to lift 30 pounds or more; significant walking between offices and buildings
Must be able to access IT equipment in and around office furniture, as part of annual inventory is required
Perform both manual labor associated with (among other duties) palletizing/de-palletizing equipment plus above average skills with office computers and applications
Must have MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook skills
Attention to detail and ability to track multiple logistics tasking through established and evolving policy a must.
Must have a valid driver's license

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.00 - $37.50, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
