Document Image Technician/Data Analyst - (Active Polygraph clearance required)

Our work depends on a Document Image Technician/Data Analyst joining our team to support client activities in McLean, VA. At GDIT, our people are at the center of everything we do. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Preparing records for scanning by removing staples, identifying poor originals, document clean-up, bar coding and placement of appropriate selector sheets.
• Perform hard copy, microform (e.g, microfiche, microfilm, aperture cards), and oversized document (e.g., maps) scanning and convert digital media (e.g., CDs, DVDs) to other formats as required by the Sponsor.
• Conducting an inventory check to ensure that all documents are accounted for.
• Applying consistent and appropriate metadata, to include attributes of data ownership, stewardship, pedigree, and quality.
• Assisting in the creation of data management rules that enable data sharing, including the distribution of datasets into/out of identified data repositories.
• Performing quality control and validation of scanned images.
• Working with data managers to coordinate the proper disposition of records, consistent with the Sponsor's practices.
• Assisting in the maintenance of data integrity and document conversion systems.
• Analyzes organizational data and conducts advanced statistical analysis.
• Models and evaluates the potential impact of data changes.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Educating the Sponsor on data cataloging methodologies so Sponsor can adapt to changing world events.
• Develops innovative strategies and quantifies the competitive performance of the organization's operations and/or markets.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Required skills:

• Demonstrated experience in scanning paper documents.
• Demonstrated experience in cataloging and improving existing data collections.
• Demonstrated experience conducting data integrity audits and proposing data clean-up processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work with operational teams to improve data discovery.
• Demonstrated experience developing documentation for and training user communities on the use of cataloging tools.
• Practical knowledge of data management methodologies.
• Analytical mindset and strong problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge in enterprise data strategy, data governance practices, data stewardship principles, data architecture principles data standards, and metadata best practices.
• Understanding of information management services and the data management lifecycle.
• Ability to describe and assess the quality of data.
• Experience with data management activities, inclusive of ingestion, description, dissemination, and disposition of data.
• 5 to 10+ years of relevant work experience in the Intel Community
• Current TS/SCI clearance with active Polygraph

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
• Cross-domain experience/knowledge
• Data Management Professional Certification
