GDIT is currently looking for a Lead Application Developer for a Defense Threat Reduction Agency Data Science project. Directs the development team in the design, coding, testing and debugging of transitionable prototypes that enable CWMD/counterproliferation operations. Guides team members in application development methodology.
This position is not yet funded.
Lead Application Developer Duties:
Tests, writes, modifies, and documents software for client applications according to their requirements.
Coordinates the team’s schedule and ensures effective communication between team members and other functional areas.
Provides feedback and suggestions for process and product improvement and acts as a technical mentor and adviser.
Adheres to stringent quality assurance and documentation standards using version control and code repositories (e.g., GitLab).
Demonstrates written and oral communication skills.
Current TS/SCI clearance.
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and at least 7 years' experience in management of application development programs and projects; or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related, and at least 10 years’ of management experience
