GDIT is seeking candidates for Project / Configuration Lead to support the Defense Stockpile Management System (DSMS) at Fort Belvoir, VA and Kirtland AFB, NM.  Provides configuration management support to assigned projects for the Defense Stockpile Management System. Communicates and documents the tasks to be accomplished, organizational resources, and time allocated through quantitative and qualitative risk analysis techniques. Designs and establishes configuration management documentation.

Performance Requirement includes:

  • Organizing, designing, developing, implementing and maintaining scheduling management system supporting identified projects and their plans/schedules.

  • Assisting to set up tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project.

  • Documenting project time-lines and maintaining database of tasks and entering new information to provide status reporting for coordination and reporting purposes.

  • Interacting with staff defining scale of work, developing and updating detailed schedules, identifying variances from original plan, scheduling work, coordinating assignments.

  • Analyzing critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around.

  • Developing and updating weekly short interval schedule working with superintendents and field engineers.

  • Authorizes the release of drawings and changes specified by Program Management and other functional groups.

  • Provides advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation.

  • May act as a liaison between Program Management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration analysis documentation.

  • Provides advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation.

  • Builds and develops application tables/panels/reports, and codes individual modules and complex functions for a client/server enterprise application.

  • Integrates software, develops external interfaces, and maintains technical documentation.

  • Designs and develops most aspects of data conversion.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves testing issues.

  • Develops tools/scripts to support and improve current build and release process and continuous integration and delivery initiatives.

  • Drives technology release strategy, execution, and improvements across development life cycle.

  • Designs a pipeline that minimizes manual involvement and leads to continuous improvements.

  • Collaborates with other departments to implement best practices for release tools and process and improve productivity.

  • Ensures the integrity of builds and artifacts to support successful production releases.

  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.

  • May serve as a mentor to less experienced analysts.

  • May serve as team or task lead. (Not a people manager)


  • 8+ years of Configuration Management experience

  • Minimum Secret Clearance

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)


  • Project Management Professional
