This position is combination of systems engineering data administration duties:

Systems Engineer III:

  • Creates and analyzes highly complex software engineering architectures and designs.
  • Provides functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software. Participates in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems.

Required Skills:

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience) plus 5 – 10 years of relevant Systems Engineering experience
  • Thoroughly understands software engineering and programming for large computer and minicomputer and microprocessor systems supporting broad base of applications.
  • Background in requirements analysis, design, and coding methodologies (Python, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby, XML) ; documentation standards; configuration management; DoD software policies; and DoD test and evaluation requirements; real-time operating systems, distributed systems, modeling and simulation; data base design and management, and resource utilization assessment.
  • Typically works in highly complex areas where ingenuity and creativity are required to provide solutions to major design problems.
  • Have the technical background and skills to perform in all phases of software design, development, documentation, and implementation.
  • Ability to design and develop advanced networking techniques.
  • Experience with Jira. 10 years’ experience in Systems Engineering.
