GDIT is seeking candidates to fill a Biometric SME role in support of Department of Defense (DOD) Biometric Enabling Capability (BEC) Increment 1 program, which is a follow-on program and its associated system, DOD Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS). DOD ABIS is the authoritative biometrics enterprise system that provides matching, sharing and storing of biometrics data. DoD ABIS biometrics matched results enable the warfighter, commanders, biometric submitters, the intelligence community (IC), and other government agencies with the capability to conduct identity intelligence, make informed decisions and act against threat actors and neutral/unknown/non-aligned adversaries.
PdM BEC is the manager of DoD ABIS. PdM BEC manages the business, technical, and support strategies to sustain a biometric ingestion, process, store, match, and share capability for the DoD, non-DoD agencies, and coalition partners. DoD ABIS must facilitate the following operational capabilities 24x7x365 in support of the warfighter worldwide: Biometric data management, Biometric data examination services, Biometric customer support, Biometric Enabled Watchlist (BEWL) operations, Biometrics Examination Services, User profile management, Biometrics metrics reporting and Watch List management via Cross Domain Solution.
