At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Administrative Assistant IV a typical day will include:

  • The AA must be able to display significant maturity, autonomy and discretion in Manage the principal's time and applying working knowledge of mission priorities, principal's business area(s) and personal preferences, organization protocol, and organizational hierarchy to screen, vet and prioritize emails, visitors and phone calls

  • Place and answer phone calls for the principal; employ proper protocol

  • The AA will work in tandem with another AA to support up to sixteen senior managers, focused 5 senior managers and general support to the other group chiefs

  • The FO AA serves as the focal point for the FO and is expected to properly welcome visitors and guests, often senior staff personnel, and escort them to the proper office or location for their visit. The FO AA will be responsible for coordinating Visitor Requests to include completing information in the Visitor Request System, and coordinating the transfer of clearances

  • The AA will also provide information or respond accurately to basic questions or technical/administrative issues and requests in a clear, concise, credible, and courteous manner, and in the appropriate manner (i.e orally by phone or in person, or in writing via email, letter or memorandum)

  • AA will be expected to assist in moving, hand carrying supplies or files between the department's two non-collocated office spaces

  • The FO AA will serve as the Vault Custodian for the FO suite. The FO AA will also be responsible for the onboarding/offboarding process for incoming/outgoing personnel to include requesting vault accesses, updating FO email groups, managing office rosters and phone trees and seating charts


  • HS Diploma and 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Available to work during core hours Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

  • Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Able to perform duties with minimal supervision and some team interaction
