Our work depends on a Solutions Architect (Expert) joining our team to support one of our Federal customers in Rockville, MD.
At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Power Platform Architect supporting our Federal customer, you will use your experience in Power Platform technologies, solution and design to re-platform and enhance applications, and your subject matter expertise to resolve advanced issues. In this role, a typical day will include:
Software/System development activities and modernization aligned to Agile/SAFe principles (iterative, incremental delivery model)
Continuous Development, Enhancement and Maintenance of existing systems
Providing cloud Migration support as needed
Compliance with existing standards and guidelines and adherence to the review and approval process for the UI mockups ahead of development (UI standards may be adjusted based on the use of low-code platforms).
Logging, Monitoring, Error/Exception handling capabilities
Software performance
Fault tolerance, scalability, and sustainability
Alignment of new and existing systems with the target to-be architecture and enabling architecture improvements
Developing system documentation as needed
Incident management and role provisioning
Development of materials for ongoing training, job aids
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Must have a B.S. or B.A. in relevant field plus 10 years of professional experience
Power Platform Solution Architect Expert certification and
2+ years of hands-on experience as a Power Platform architect or 8+ years of experience in leading solutions design and development using Power Platform and/or related Microsoft technologies
Understanding of M365, Azure and D365.
Hands on experience leading and implementing Power Platform solutions for 5+ years
10+ years’ Architect experience
Overall experience of 15+ years leading/developing applications of similar scale, size and complexity
Proficient in Power Platform
Proficient in creating technical artifacts – solution architecture, data models, UML
DESIRED SKILLS:
Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect Expert certification
Proficient in Java
Proficient in Cloud Architecture specifically Azure (Microsoft Azure RedShift, Kubernetes, Containerization)
Experienced in Database management and modelling tools
Proficient in Postgres and MS SQL Server databases on-premises and Azure-managed
Experience in DevOps framework/ implementation
