GDIT is seeking a highly motivated Configuration Analyst Lead to join our team dedicated to servicing our government client on this large complex task order. The successful candidate will manage a controlled environment around IT Configuration Items (CIs), utilizing ServiceNow for both Data Center and client Configuration Management Data Bases (CMDBs), and will establish and maintain a reliable source of asset data, ensuring alignment to support the organization’s ability to successfully meet its business objectives. This controlled environment effectively captures and manages IT CI information, supports an effective CMDB and provides value-added services that improve organizational capabilities, manages risks, lower costs, and increases productivity. This individual’s principal goals are to plan, coordinate, and direct all activities for the programs CMDB staff and serve as the escalation point, providing open lines of communication (front facing) with our customer. In this role, specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Lead Asset Management team operational and strategic planning, including business requirements and client deliverables • Develop/maintain IT Asset Configuration Management policies, standards, and procedures and ensures conformance with the goals and company/customer objectives • Document current state and maintain each Service Areas success and capabilities in Asset inventory management • Manage inventory of Configuration Items (CIs), including dependencies and attributes, making sure that modifications, withdrawals, and additions are correctly recorded in the CMDB and policies are complied with • Accountable for asset deliverables to include audits (Functional and Physical), reporting, and Contract Line-Item Numbers (CLIN) assigned to each asset
Required Skills / Qualifications: • U.S. Citizenship • DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability • BA/BS or equivalent, 10+ years of experience • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment • Extensive experience in identifying and selecting of sources of configuration management data from across the enterprise • Extensive experience in identifying of relationships of the configuration items and aligning them to the service portfolio and catalog • Demonstrated knowledge of IT infrastructure to identify the relationships between configuration items • Experience performing Change Management review for possible changes to the environment, to include asset counts (addition or decommission), software version changes, and dependencies • Expertise in performing quality analysis and control on the data within the CMDB • Experience in applying continuous improvement approach in enhancing the strategies for tracking assets within the Asset Module, throughout their lifecycle • Knowledgeable in ServiceNow modules: Asset, Incident, Knowledge, Change
Desired Skills / Qualifications: • Masters Degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field of study • 15+ years of relevant experience • Experience supporting Federal Government IT programs • Expertise in ServiceNow modules: Asset, Incident, Knowledge, Change • Certification: ITIL Fundamentals

The likely salary range for this position is $106,800 - $160,200, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
