The COP Manager directly supports the Current Operations Director (J33). Works with the information systems administrators to maintain and upgrade servers and Global Command and Control System (GCCS) applications. Responsible for working with other individuals on Tactical Data Processors (TDPs) in formulating the Command’s COP. Shall monitor system operation and status, ensure operational feeds are working correctly, and update software, programming, and computer hardware necessary to maintain a continuous COP. Shall monitor systems status, performance and ensures correct operation. Serves as a liaison who satisfies end-user requirements and assists in data collection. Identifies, analyzes and defines problems associated with the COP system. Shall develop strategies to resolve system application problems and update existing systems and programs. Maintains, monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots and develops technical solutions for all Tactical Database Management (TDMB) hosts. The COPT Manager is also responsible for operating and performs operator-level maintenance on Line Of Sight (LOS) and Satellite (SAT) radios as required.
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills. The contractor is required to have the following qualifications to fill this position:
Citizen of the United States.
Possess an active SECRET clearance.
Possess a military background in a 25-Series Military Occupation Specialty (MOS), or service equivalent. Have knowledge of and experience with COP software that can be verified by the COR.
Computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) and Internet Explorer.
Able to share, visually display, and brief significant activities and intelligence in real time among multiple collaborators, and across different applications and machines.
Have attained the rank of E5 or higher, and must have received an honorable discharge as verified by a form DD-214 (U.S. Military). Personnel who have been discharged with a characterization of “General under other than honorable”, “Bad Conduct”, or “Dishonorable” are disqualified from this position.
Physical Requirements and Working Environment. The contractor should be able to and be willing to work under the following conditions:
Willing to work a 12-hour shift per day.
Working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust and hazardous harsh conditions.
Able to don all required personal protective gear and physically execute assigned duties.
