At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a ATDL CTB Technician supporting NIWC PAC 53522, a typical day will include:

  • Support ATDL Acquisition Level System Engineering (SE) and Configuration management (CM) for all program facets and all aspects of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process for successful achievement of JCIDS Milestones.
  • Support the development and maintenance of SE JCIDS-related documents, including the System Engineering Plan (SEP), Information Support Plan (ISP), Capabilities Production Document (CPD), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), Strategic Guidance for Test and Evaluation, Waveform Annex and Net Ready Key Performance Parameters (NR-KPP), and other related documentation.
  • Provide engineering level ATDL SME on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Working Groups (WGs), and technical reviews; platform integration planning, cross-product integration and interoperability engineering for both JTRS and legacy Link 16 in addition to Link 11 and Link 22 systems; integrated planning and execution of Developmental Testing & Evaluation (DT&E); Operational T&E; Configuration Management (CM); Radio Frequency (RF) Spectrum Management; Validation, Verification, and Accreditation(VV&A); system certifications and accreditations
  • Participate at system reviews and readiness assessments.
  • Identify risk areas and methods of mitigation in support of laboratory test plans specific to Link 11 and Link 22 development.
  • Analyze RF performance data for recommendations to Program Managers.
  • Test embedded circuit cards to the component level for fault isolation, repair, and testing in systems.


  • Bachelor’s degree, Technical school, high school graduate and/or equivalent years of technical experience
  • 4 years of relevant experience
  • current experience in operating, troubleshooting, and testing TDL, ATDL, SDR, and/or related C4I systems
  • Secret security clearance level
  • 0-10% travel
  • Ability to obtain a USN CAC card.
  • Preferred qualifications (optional): Hands-on TDL/ATDL operational experience with tactical communications systems to include operation, installation, integration, and troubleshooting in an operational environment. Experience with operating and maintaining legacy TDL systems/waveforms, ATDL test architecture development, test preparation related to Government laboratory configuration development for ATDL product testing, developing test procedures, providing for traceability of requirements, experience automating test execution, and post-test analysis involving MIDS JTRS or other comparable systems.
