We're looking for a passionate, skilled and driven Software Engineer Sr to help us with application integration, building automation, IT operations monitoring solutions, and supporting various technologies within the Technology Shared Services (TSS) Applications team. Our ideal candidate will have experience with various automation technologies, performance and event monitoring solutions, and a good understanding of software development best practices, have an in-depth knowledge Agile methodology, ITSM, a strong understanding of Linux, Java scripting, as well as a passion for quality.

• Design, develop, and implement IT Operations monitoring solutions with integration into other ITSM applications
• Using Java, PHP, Python and COTS automation tools to ensure the integration and presentation of data through dashboards meet customer requirements.
• Document Linux appliance build and configuration processes
• Author implementation and design documentation for multiple customers
• Participate and share knowledge, work in the context of a geographically dispersed, collaborative, team-based environment.
• Implement and identify innovative tools, frameworks, automation, and utilities to increase value to customers while maintaining and improving existing solutions.
• Help establish a highly collaborative environment that values speed and quality, and perform feature development within sprints to support the high company standards.
• Actively participate in agile meetings with product and program management.
• Brief customers on phone or in person for project kickoffs, progress reviews, or closeouts.
• Travel to customer site, customer engagements, or GDIT office when required
• Have a proactive attitude and a willingness to “go the extra mile” to get the job done.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years or more of IT experience.

Required Qualifications:
• The position also requires five (5) years of experience with performing software engineering tasks

• Experience with ScienceLogic or similar tool
• Strong organization and time management skills while working in a rapid software development environment.
• Must be able to identify and learn new technologies quickly.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Desired Qualifications:
• Scrum/Agile experience, working with groups in 2/4 week sprints
• ServiceNow skills preferred
