GDIT is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to help support our Code 50 White Collar program.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, for our Code 50 White Collar program in Philadelphia, PA you will be responsible for designs, development, testing and evaluation of electrical, mechanical, and/or computer components, equipment and systems. You will provide planning and implementation of Machinery Control System upgrades and enhancements, providing innovative methods and technical solutions using the systems engineering design process.
In this role, a typical day will include:
● Designs, evaluates, plans, tests, and operates electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or computer components, equipment and systems
● Work collaboratively with the engineering team to define, design and implement upgrades and enhancements to machinery control systems.
● Work with multiple engineering, technical and Cyber security disciplines.
●Use leadership abilities to guide the team to meet major program milestones.
Qualifications:
● US Citizenship Required
● Security Clearance Level: Secret, or ability to obtain
● Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineer or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
● Required Experience: Eight to Ten (8-10) years of experience within industry as a systems, electrical, and/or electronics engineer; Five to Ten (5-10) years of professional experience within industry acting as a lead engineer; Three (3) years of professional experience troubleshooting hardware/software systems; One (1) year of professional experience reading electrical schematics; One
(1) year of professional experience troubleshooting network based systems.
● Required Technical Skills: Experience with Networked Systems and architecture using embedded controllers. Experience with design and testing using the systems engineering process.
● Required Skills and Abilities: Leadership, and motivation to meet objectives in a team environment.
● Location: On Customer Site in Philadelphia, PA
