At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Administrative Assistant III a typical day will include:

  • The AA will serve as an Action Officer for the Front Office team, which provides leadership and oversight of four Center's various training activities

  • The AA will manage the creation of products in response to Directorate, Mission Center, or Division taskings. Such products will include spot reports. memoranda. electronic communications, programmatic/ resource requirements and other administrative taskings

  • The selected candidate will serve as a focal point for externally and internally generated taskings and projects, monitor breaking issues, and keep senior management apprised while ensuring appropriate attention and follow-through

  • The AA should be highly organized, and have excellent writing, editing, and proofing skills, and may be sometimes expected to produce shorter, polished, pieces with little prep time

  • The AA will need will need to exhibit initiative, critical thinking, and a highly developed sense of teamwork to collaborate within the office and other partners

  • The selected candidate will occasionally back up the AA IV Office Manager

  • No CONUS travel is expected. very occasional WMA travel may be required. GOV will be available or POV will be reimbursed. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Core hours are 0900-1500, There may be extraordinary situations in which additional hours may be requested

  • Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Able to perform duties with minimal supervision and some team interaction
