Our work depends on a Operations Support Manager joining our team to support a US Government Contract in Herndon, VA.

At GDIT, we get work done. As an Operations Support Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzes user needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of projects.
  • Researches, identifies, and assists in the formulation of recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion.
  • Participates in the development of new functionality or updates the existing, to meet client needs.
  • Writes and updates project documentation including procedures and training materials.
  • Performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.

Hamilton Specific:

  • Acts as first-line manager/lead for RPs with training, certification, mentorship, team performance, recruiting, and quality assurance of program role player cadre.
  • Act as Direct Team Leads during exercises.
  • Serve as Team Leads for internal training and actual exercises when needed.
  • Contribute to transparent communications across team, with RPs, and Customer personnel as appropriate.
  • Provides necessary functional support to the program.
  • Forecasts needs for Team Leads, Analysts and any other specialized role assignments.
  • Coordinates with other Stakeholders, works with Customer and DPM on specific program development activities and training.
  • Coordinate with Customer instructors to deliver high performing teams and ensure role needs assessment, skills development, team leadership and analyst training and support.
  • Forecasting and execution of away exercises as well as any surge requirements during high tempo periods.
  • Works with Training Officer to develop and deliver specific training to ensure surge RPs meet/exceed Hamilton expectations. 
  • May require communications and training of RPs with technical equipment and integration of technical into exercises.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • BA/BS AND 5 years of professional experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 3 years of experience specifically as a role player or directly related experience (current Level 6 RP preferred)
  • Willingness and ability to travel (domestic) on short notice.
  • 25-50% travel
  • Secret able to obtain Top Secret clearance
