And our work depends on a ServiceNow Software Trainer joining our team to support our government client’s activities in the Northern Virginia locations.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. ServiceNow Software Trainer will work primarily with the client’s ServiceNow software development team to develop training plans, packages and perform on-line and face-to-face training in support of a ServiceNow ITSM and IT Service Catalog software build.  

  • Knowledge of Agile Development Methodology 
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management capabilities and best practices 
  • Ability to work independently or with a team 
  • Ability to learn a software capability as Engineers are building it, in order to train the user base once released 
  • Excellent technical writing skills  
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly convey use of the software 
  • Excellent skills using Microsoft Office products – Word, PowerPoint, Excel 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Excellent ability to present clearly to an audience in terms the user understands 
  • Experience writing detailed and simple user guides and manuals 
  • Experience demonstrating hardware and software to a diverse audience of technical and non-technical participants 
  • Experience demonstrating hardware and software frequently on short notice or with little prep time 
  • Experience demonstrating live in a hands-on or lecture presentation setting 
  • Experience training hardware and software in Windows environments 
  • Experience motivating uninterested training participants 
  • Experience setting up test environments, executing test cases, and tracking defects 
  • Working experience with component, application, integration, and performance testing procedures and criteria  
  • Working experience in defining acceptance criteria and coordinating and executing acceptance testing  
  • Understanding of automated testing tools to include HP Quality Center, QuickTest Professional (QTP), LoadRunner, etc.​ as well as automation best practices strongly desired 
  • Working experience in requirements traceability 
  • Working experience with creating and executing test plans and procedures and documenting the expected and actual results  
  • Hands-on experience in developing testing artifacts (performance test scripts, scenarios, monitors) 
  • Ability to diagnose complicated performance issues based on analysis of performance tests execution results (Load, Stress, Scalability) and come up with recommendations for solutions 
  • Experience working with multiple teams and coordinating automation testing efforts for various integration projects 
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to start, develop, and complete short- and long-term projects 
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in the implementation of project specifications and design requirements 
  • Knowledge ServiceNow, as a user and/or tester. 
  • Participates in special projects as required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience.
  • 2 years' experience in technical training of hardware and software 
  • 2 years' experience writing user guides and manual to technical and non-technical audience.

Preferred Skills: ServiceNow certifications 

Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
