As a Business Development Technology Shard Services (TSS) Offering Support Advisor, you will support capture and proposal efforts to secure new, re-compete, or task order business solicitations by developing proposal responses using TSS solutions that support a winning strategy.  The successful candidate will build relationships with BD, Capture, and Division leadership in order to assist the Division in bidding solutions delivered by Technology Shared Services.  The candidate will be responsible for determining our customer's needs and priorities, validating technical solutions responsive to those needs, helping to shape customer acquisitions and position our solutions to win by leading the delivery of our written and oral technical proposals. 

This role is based in the DC Metro area and the successful candidate will need to be on-site with the Division leadership on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Build relationships with Division leadership in order to grow the Technology Shared Services business base.
  • Lead technical solution strategy integrating our TSS Solutions throughout the Capture and Proposal lifecycle, from early Qualification through Proposal submission
  • Engage prospective customers to understand critical needs, socialize and vet solutions, and advise on strategies to shape acquisitions
  • Develop unsolicited technical recommendations, collateral and RFI/SSN responses to prospective customers
  • Collaborate with the Growth organization and the Digital Consulting team to identify and bring the best technical and business strategies, win themes and solutions to differentiate us and position us to win.

Proposal Leadership:

  • Ensure readiness of solution and proposal support team to prepare a compelling and compliant response to the government solicitation
  • Lead other Solutions professionals within the TSS team to assist with proposals 
  • Ensure integration of TSS Delivery solutions with all pertinent sections and volumes of proposals
  • Review proposals and provide critical feedback needed to strengthen our solution and proposals
  • Author Technical volume introductions, key sections and orals slides including developing compelling graphics

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field (preferred)
  • 8 or more years of related experience in either consulting, sales, technical architecture and solutions, or bid and proposal activities.
  • Proposal support including successfully leading, contributing, or authoring a minimum of 3 federal pursuits and proposals
  • Prior sales or consulting experience preferably with a large consulting firm
  • Knowledge of one or more IT domains that may include software development, IT infrastructure services, cloud, cyber security, networking and data management services
  • Experience with technical leadership and project management 
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment 
  • Ability to effectively engage prospective customers to build trust and relationships, clearly communicate solutions and concepts, and influence action 
  • Ability to write exceptionally and to create compliant and compelling narratives that best present GDIT's solutions and approaches within the customer’s requirements and evaluation criteria 
  • Ability to conceptualize and communicate or develop rich graphic visuals that help to strengthen the GDIT story and clearly and effectively communicate concepts and approaches
