GDIT is currently looking for a Cyber Security Specialist. This position is not yet funded. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS, 8+ years experience.
• Conducts industry based risk methodologies and communicates identified cyber risk exposures and potential impact; reviews existing controls. • Coordinate with Information Systems Security Officers, Technical Managers, Systems Engineers, Information Owners, and Information System Owners to maintain Authorization Packages (i.e. System Security Plans, IS Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), documentation) • Provide full lifecycle support analysis, documentation, review, validation and continuous monitoring supported systems, networks and data to achieve and maintain system’s Authority-to-Operate (ATO)
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant degree
▪ 3+ years’ experience with Cyber Security ▪ Security+ Certification ▪ Working knowledge of risk management frameworks such as NIST and FISMA ▪ Knowledge of industry information security best practices and Federal, DoD, Navy and USMC information system security policies, regulation, requirements and protocols
