General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Lean Agile Scrum Master to support our Program.
Join an exciting and dynamic team delivering a large-scale Enterprise Common Tools cloud platform, automation & orchestration, and Cloud Application Migration effort for the Army. This team works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with engineering, transition / migration, and operations & sustainment of cloud migration efforts. Enterprise Common Tools and specific Army program customer migration efforts provide a range of day-to-day challenges, while the bigger picture architecture and migration efforts provide tangible milestones that the team pursues together following AGILE practices, to deliver the overall program effort. We’re looking for self-starter Leads and technical engineers, to work both as part of the team and on individual assignments, in an environment of customer mission delivery, integrity and communications. We’re looking to fill this role/team with those who currently have the cloud experience, certifications, and skills to execute in large enterprise environments, are flexible and enjoy tackling challenges, and desire to join a large team that is building and sustaining a large multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise and migrating/expanding/automating the enterprise. This person will support several key initiatives and should demonstrate capabilities and experience to support these efforts. This includes:
Transition support for programs adopting Lean/Agile/DevSecOps practices from waterfall practices
Program Management support, including developing assets that support Agile Program Management practices for large systems,
Experience supporting both platform and product teams in gaining agile maturity.
Responsibilities and expectations include:
Run Scrum ceremonies with both internal and customer teams
Bi-weekly reporting to Product Owners, customer, and GDIT leadership
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of the lean agile frameworks to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the program.
Utilizes technical knowledge to recommend metrics, tools, and/or techniques for enhanced transparency and operational efficiency.
Provides feedback and guidance to transformation leads/managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives.
Provides coaching to Agile teams and technical challenges. This role generally requires 3-5 years of practical Lean Agile leadership and Scrum Master experience with highly technical teams.
The successful candidate must be familiar with Federal Government contracting and protocols of working with sensitive information and/or inside secure Government facilities. In addition to understanding of Lean-Agile principles and practices, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate outstanding hands-on experience and understanding of traditional ITIL/ITSM process areas, program/project management and system engineering life cycle phases. The successful candidate must demonstrate outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills working as part of a team and at times in a highly autonomous manner, mentoring others as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency with tracking work within ServiceNow
Current or prior US Federal Security Clearance; no conditions that would hinder obtaining/renewing Clearance
3+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT) support and delivery programs/projects
2+ years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, Architecture, or other non-Software Development role
Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SSM, or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience with ITSM/ALM tools (such as Jira, VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc)
Active Secret Clearance with SSBI, or favorable T5
Certified Scrum Master (SCM)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
This position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by January 18, 2022 or the start date, if after January 18. Individuals who work in or reside in Texas or Montana or work outside of the United States may be excluded from this requirement.
The likely salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
