GDIT is seeking a Junior Program Analyst/Executive Assistant to support a SES level position within Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD R&E). NOTE: This position is based in Falls Church, VA but will require occasional travel to the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
The individual will provide administrative and management support that enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of the Office. The day to day activities involves a variety of administrative, operational, and logistical duties. The individual should possess strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. The individual will also coordinate activities with counterparts in other U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and other Federal agencies. The individual should be able to provide accurate, timely, and efficient information and assistance to enhance Office’s ability to successfully accomplish its overall mission.
Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties:
Perform a wide variety of administrative and analytical duties
Assist an SES in submitting reports for senior-level review
Knowledge of evaluating quantitative and qualitative data metrics
Attend meetings as required
Prepare and/or edit meeting minutes, presentations and tables as needed
Schedule meetings as needed
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment to meet the demands associated with a dynamic, results- driven
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to effectively accomplish assignments
Skilled in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to resolve administrative issues/problems that arise and recommend process improvements
Strong written and oral communication skills
Other duties as assigned to support leadership
Active TS/SCI security clearance
3+ years of experience supporting project analysis, delivery, or metrics
Prior DoD experience supporting Senior Executive Service (SES) level Director at the Pentagon
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,)
Strong data analysis skills
Organized with strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
DoD and STEM experience strongly preferred
