Sailor 2025 is a program focused on three core pillars Personnel System Modernization; Ready Relevant Learning (RRL); and Career Readiness. The second pillar Ready, Relevant Learning (RRL) deals primarily with doing away with the old way of brick and mortar schoolhouses, or industrial age training, and replacing the curriculum with career-long learning continuums where training is delivered by modern methods to enable faster learning, better knowledge retention, and delivery at the right time and in the right way for our Sailors. This job opportunity's objective is the creation and delivery of products in support of the Sailor 2025 (S2025) Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) Content Conversion Wave 1 effort.
The candidate may develop graphics for use in:
Interactive Courseware, including Gaming Technology, 3D Models, animations, and videos as well as other Computer Based Training materials.
Flash conversion processes
Technical training courseware, to include systems, equipment functions, procedural maintenance steps, schematics, and flow diagrams.
Courseware that will be offered in electronic classrooms and via mobile apps.
Designs and develops graphics and illustrations for use in technical publications, marketing material, and other visual communications media.
Utilizes current graphic design technology and software applications to produce graphics and illustrations for use in technical publications, marketing materials, and other visual communications media.
Prepares illustrations from concept drawings, sketches, models, and/or written and verbal instructions.
Selects styles and sizes of type, lays out material, and performs related tasks.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
BS/BA in commercial art, fine art, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
2-5 years of related graphic design experience.
Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to follow Project standards for style.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must have or be able to attain a secret clearance.
Candidate must be a US citizen with a qualifying background investigation (NACLC or higher) within the last 10 years to meet eligibility requirements for an IT Level II Common Access Card (CAC).
Familiarity with Navy curriculum development.
Experience with 3D animations.
Current secret clearance.
Experience working in a complex, diverse team environment on Government contracts
Some travel may be required.
