GDIT is seeking a Senior Technical Writer for the Federal Civilian Division to join our outstanding Growth organization. You will report to the Growth Lab director and be responsible for supporting proposal writing in concert with our business development executives, program managers and solution architects. You will lead writing efforts for Request for Information (RFI) responses, support storyboard/mockup development during the pre-proposal phase, write compelling technical proposal responses and support post-submittal activities. Duties include but are not limited to:
Provide RFI coordination, management and writing support to increase FedCiv’s capacity to prosecute RFIs and improve the RFI/RFP process
Develop pre-proposal storyboards, mockups and other proposal artifacts in collaboration with solution architects and proposal managers
Provide proposal writing throughout the opportunity lifecycle in support of solution architects, subject matter experts (SMEs) and other proposal volume needs that clearly highlights GDIT’s value proposition and discriminators and provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting GDIT for award.
Act as a “proposal architect” by collaborating with proposal managers and solution architects to develop compliant proposal templates that support compelling technical and management solutions.
Support FedCiv Division’s growth process improvement by assisting with designing, developing, prototyping and implementing new processes, tools, and capabilities that support FedCiv growth operations
Provide proposal storyboard, mock up and writing training for new solution architects and program support staff
Assist with improving the quality of proposal processes by analyzing customer proposal evaluations and internal survey results to incorporate best practices, lessons learned and process improvements to the Growth Lifecycle
Work in concert with Growth, CTO and enterprise-wide technical resources to engage with GDIT programs and educate them about the opportunity lifecycle and the proposal development process
Bachelors Degree in English or a related writing discipline
5+ years of professional writing experience in Federal Sales, Business Development, Strategic Capture, Proposal Management and/or direct customer/program support
