We are an established team supporting Customs and Border Protection seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team.
In this role you will: • Work closely with development and operations staff to implement and support a delivery pipeline that allows for continuous, automated integration, deployment and testing • Develop improvements to availability, scalability, and performance of the environment • Support production deployments and issue resolution (during on and off-hours on a rotating basis with other engineers)
Candidate must be local to the National Capital Region. Occasional onsite work but mostly remote.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree combined with at least 3 years of technical experience
Experience developing and maintaining a continuous integration pipeline using tools such as Jenkins and Bamboo
Experience automating deployments with software configuration management tools
Experience scripting and programming for infrastructure automation (e.g. Shell, Python, Bash, etc.)
Experience with monitoring a production environment with tools like AppDynamics and Splunk
Ability to research problems, identify a root cause, and recommend and implement a solution
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to collaborate with team members
Must have the ability to obtain the required government security clearance –
Experience supporting a development environment utilizing Kubernetes (nice to have)
Experience with tools such as Git, Maven, Nexus, BitBucket, Stash, Gradle (nice to have)
CBP Public Trust Suitability (Final/Full BI) needed to start
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 3+ years of experience
