HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER/PROJECT MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

As a Systems Engineer/Project Manager you will be trusted to lead a wide variety of special projects, surge, and optional task order. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Providing technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned project or task(s).
• Developing status of projects and budgets, managing schedules, and preparing task order and administrative reports.
• Performing planning and providing recommendations to client on project requirements.
• Attending customer meetings and serving as a primary client liaison.
• Assessing project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Working with vendors, other organizations and agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.
• Managing/directing resources from matrixed organizations to perform assigned projects or task(s)
• Working with program PMs, staff, and corporate support to respond to government directed optional task and directed surge support work as well as internal directed projects.
• Track scope, cost, schedule, and performing assigned project or task(s).
• Manage risk tracking process for assigned projects.
• Coordinate development of deliverables and products.
• Ensure quality assurance of project deliverables.
• Participate in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrated experience with resource planning, analysis, preparation of management plans, and reports.
• Demonstrated experience with project planning such as creating and maintaining a project plan and schedule.
• Demonstrated experience with MS Excel, Word, and Power Point to produce reports, status updates and project related documentation.
• Demonstrated experience using JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Demonstrated experience assessing, documenting, and tracing new program requirements and follow-on technical exchange meetings (TEMs).
• Demonstrated experience leading system implementation, defining process improvement, or identifying further methods to improve the efficiency of manual processes.
• Demonstrated experience with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with NetApp Filers and Data OnTap Cluser Mode
• Familiarity with ELTs (RemoteView, ArcGis, SocetGXP etc.)
• Familiarity with Grafana visualization
• Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Safe Agilest (SA)

• BA/BS required
• 5+ years of related experience as a PM
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Program Management Professional desired
