At GDIT, people are our differentiator. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop business information processing systems
  • Serves as a lead analyst providing expertise on continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, change management projects, and performance measures for complex and multiple business process engagements
  • Identifies and analyzes business needs, conducts requirements gathering, and defines scope and objectives
  • Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to identifying and eliminating duplication, outsourcing opportunities, streamlining, centralizing, business improvement processes, manufacturing improvement processes, and/or vendor selection
  • Uses quantitative analysis methodology to perform data, cost and benefit, and/or process measurement analysis
  • Research industry trends for application of process improvement techniques and best practices
  • Partners with business process owners and management on strategic initiatives
  • May be responsible for resolution of complex problems escalated by lower-level consultants
  • May develop department policies and procedures
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
  • May serve as a team or task lead

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • Strong understanding of Agile and SCRUM Development Methodologies, all stages of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong understanding of visual modeling language for creating graphical flowcharts in order to define business process workflows
  • Experience in facilitating requirement gathering sessions and acting as a liaison between business users and technical teams to gather and document business, system, functional and non-functional requirements
  • Extensive experience in writing detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), Use Case specifications and Process Workflow diagrams using RUP methodology
  • Proficient in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems is a plus
  • Must be able to achieve a Public Trust clearance

Current USPS COVID policy may allow telecommuting. Once the USPS COVID policy is rescinded, personnel will be required to report to location on full time basis.

The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.  We can only accept Green Card Holders or US Citizens for this program.
