GDIT is seeking a Tester to join our Dynamics 365 program with the Veteran's Affairs. The successful applicant will be responsible for and support test and QA activities associated with GDIT’s development and optimization of the Veteran’s Administration Customer Relationship Management (CRM) suite of applications developed in Microsoft Dynamics 365. These applications are delivered via the Microsoft’s Government Community Cloud (GCC) Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. The activity is required to ensure adherence to company and VA quality standards. The applicant will work closely with Agile DevOps teams, cyber security certification planners, functional analysts, system architects and QA managers to develop, iterate and implement test procedures, test cases, review use cases, interpret and QA test results, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the applications. Responsibilities will include ensuring the attainment of contractually mandated SLO’s (Service Level Objectives); the development and maintenance of Testing Procedures, as well as supporting release planning, and the review of system Change Requests for test implications. Your contributions and thought leadership will be vital to providing a positive, high quality user experience to our nation’s veterans.
The overall program supports the operation, sustainment, maintenance, enhancement and test of the D365-based CRM applications utilized by 70,000 VA employees. Previous experience testing CRM applications is required and MS Dynamics 365 / Dynamics CRM /Dynamics Customer Experience (CE) applications) is highly desired. Experience working in support of Federal, State, or Tribal Governments, or a health care client is highly desired. The candidate will regularly interact with VA business stakeholders, VA Line of Business leadership and VA central office client stakeholders, including the Veterans Experience Office (VEO) staff, VA OIT leadership, and COR, and is expected to document and report any issues that arise. This position will be remote with limited support required in vendor facilities and/or a government site.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the:
Testing candidate releases of new or modified CRM applications, assuring the quality of scalable software solutions by collaborating with business partners to realize the full capability of D365; supporting all quality assurance tasks, test plan preparation, test cases for customizations, extensions, configurations, and integrations;
Performing functional, integration, and regression testing;
Creating test plans and detailed test cases;
Documenting any defects found during the daily testing activities and track them to resolution;
Supporting DevOps development teams test planning and execution, and code reviews;
Participating in monthly release activities and post-release support activities;
Supporting user story mapping, sprint planning, estimation and feature walk-throughs;
Participating in user acceptance testing and maintenance of documentation;
Reviewing the test plan implications of Change Requests;
Contribute to/prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations for PMO and VA personnel
Maintaining currency with industry best practices with regards to testing and test automation, and;
Remaining current with CRM/D365 technologies and potential system implications related to Vendor release upgrades.
Bachelor’s Degree in business related field, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline with at least 2+ years of experience;
Must have 1+ year of experience related to supporting software development test activities of a CRM system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM/ D365;
Demonstrated experience developing software test plans & test cases;
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
Industry testing certifications;
D365 certifications, classes or exams;
Azure certifications, classes or exams;
Previous Department of Veterans Affairs experience;;
Active VA access including assigned CAG and PIV
